What if you worked hard and bought a new truck and paid $27,000 only to find out 1 year later the car was stolen and you were on the hook for the entire loan amount?

FBI breaks up a $25 million car cloning ring in tampa florida, miami, chicago, and mexico city.

Arrest warrants for 17 people who had dual identitys were issued for “cloning” vehicles, which is making stolen cars look like legan ones.

This illegal ring has been in operation for 20 years car scamming the average joe, banks and financial institutions.

The car scammers take license plates, vin, and other tags/stickers from a legal car and put them on the stolen cars  that similar make and model.

The detective in the case had a tow truck pickup the 2005 Ford F350 super duty turbo diesel.  The owner of the car was shocked and his bank said he had  a contract and must pay $536 month on a truck he does not own.

So before you buy your next car make sure you get a carfax to insure the title of the car you buy  or get it from a big car dealer preferably certified.
