General Motors Partners With eBay

General Motors GM is working with eBay on a creative new partnership to let consumers in California bid on vehicles as the normal way but would pick up the car at a local new car dealership.

General Motors are exploring the possibilities with no final answer at this point.

Here are some concerns you need to be aware of when buying a new car.

If eBay starts to offer GM new cars then you need to be able to get auto financing at your bank or the car dealership.

The next question is you may want an extended service contract to protect your car up to 100,000 miles.

Then you have to deal with new license plates or transerfing your old plates.

What if you wanted to trade in your old car when you buy the new car?

All the above issues will need to be handled at the new car dealership.

I think it’s a smart move for General Motors to take advantage of current technology to sell cars online at an auction site like eBay.

Let’s see what happens next.
