New 3 D Sensors
Inside digital cameras are image sensors that a light sensitive computer chips. The 3 D sensors basically see and record flat two dimensional images.
Microsoft has introduced a new game using the 3 D sensors with project natal technology that allows players to move their hands or kicking their feet.
Some car manufacturers have been placing ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumpers to set off a warning to the driver if an object is behind them. This would be an ideal place to use the new 3 D sensors.
Also, the 3 D sensors could be used to monitor the weight of a person on the front seat for airbag deployment especially for childrens weight.
Keep your eye out for this new 3 D sensor technology.
