New Car Auto Sales Down 37%

New car sales for March to March year over year sales show an average drop of 37%.

General Motors had the biggest drop in new car sales down 45 percent from the same month last year.

Ford, down 41 percent

Toyota and Chrysler, both down 39 percent

Nissan, down 38 percent

Honda, down 36 percent

Hyundai, was the best performer down only 3 percent.

President Barack Obama said on Monday the government will guarantee the warranties of GM and Chrysler to allay concerns if either company goes bankrupt.
