The History of General Motors
General Motors GM was founded by William C. Durant in 1908 by incorporating Buick Motor, and Oldsmobile joins GM.
1909 General Motors GM sells 25,000 cars and trucks and buys Cadillac for $5.5 million. GM then bought GMC and AC Spark Plug.
